The General Surgery Residency Program at Monmouth Medical
Center offers three (3) categorical and four (4) non-designated
preliminary positions. Our program participates fully with
ERAS and the NRMP.
- We do not accept applications outside of ERAS.
- A minimum score of 200 on USMLE Step I and II (first
attempt).
- Applicants must have graduated from medical school no
earlier than 2008.
- Foreign medical school graduates must have at least
one year of US clinical hospital experience and present
a valid ECFMG certificate prior to the offer of a contract.
- Applicants must be a US citizen or a permanent resident.
- Applicants from osteopathic medical schools must pass
USMLE examinations in addition to the COMLEX.
- We do not offer externships.

surgeons)
