As a surgical patient at Monmouth Medical Center, your care will
be handled by a highly skilled team of specialists, which is headed
by your surgeon. The information in this section is designed to
give you step-by-step information to prepare you for surgery and
recovery.
Surgical patients scheduled in the Same Day Surgery Department
should call 732.923.7444, after 2 p.m. on the
day before surgery, to receive your scheduled arrival time. Please
call Friday afternoon for Monday surgery.
Surgical patients scheduled in the Cranmer Surgery Center should
call 732.923.7836 between 2 and 4 p.m. on the day before surgery
to receive your scheduled arrival time. Please call Friday afternoon
for Monday Surgery.
If your surgery is scheduled for the weekend, Patient Access Management
will call you the day of admission to inform you of your arrival
time. If you have any questions, call the Patient Access Management
at 732.923.7201.
Maternity patients scheduled for a cesarean section or any other
complicated delivery procedure should come to the Labor and Delivery
unit two hours before surgery. It is not necessary to call for
confirmation.
In most cases, hospital insurance policies will cover the cost
of your procedure. You will be contacted prior to admission for
this information by the Financial Clearance Center (FCC) or please
call to provide this information.
If your
entire bill will not be covered, or if you do not have the appropriate
insurance, cash, credit card or check deposit may be required.
If so, please bring the required deposit to the Cashier’s
Office on the day of pre-admission testing.

Your hospital bill will not include
any fees for the professional services provided by your physician.
The fees for the services of your anesthesiologist will be billed
separately, and payment arrangements must be made between you and
your physicians.
